‘Noise’ is a 3-minute abstract stop motion animation using oil paint that documents a journey through sound, shape, and colour. It draws attention to all the background noise that often goes ignored and paints a picture of my hometown that while familiar to me, was easily overlooked for more exciting places. This work focused on texture and the relationship between what we hear and what we imagine. It is an experimental piece that works best when experienced uniquely and in relation to the viewer’s own hometown journey.
