Hi, I am Agne. A creative, curious and perfectionist individual currently specializing in visual communication, art direction and fashion photography. My work ethic is based on interpreting emotions, approaching the subject with an open mind, and analyzing it from various perspectives. This allows me to include a personal twist on the project and create a meaningful connection with the viewer through abstract and personal themes.
The work I chose to showcase is from two editorials that can be found in a digital magazine Emocia Mag which I have recently created for my Final Major Project. The editorials explore what is the meaning of vulnerability. This idea was developed through reflecting on the changes the COVID-19 pandemic has brought on society. People were struggling with isolation, loneliness, and loss. The state of being stuck in the same room with no one but yourself is a vulnerable experience on its own. Therefore, it takes courage and strength to face your true self, yet the process is gentle and intimate.
These editorials aim to create a sense of the ability to relate and accompany people in these uncertain times. Some people resonate with nature, the others might find company in concrete statues sparsely placed around the city. Therefore, being vulnerable does not mean being weak. Being vulnerable might open doors to stability and a long-lasting friendship with yourself.
