My final major project was based upon how the monks in the monastery would wake with sunrise and go to sleep following sunset. From this I looked into the Circadian rhythm, the natural, internal process that regulates the sleep–wake cycle (effectively the body’s internal clock).

The proposed space aims to help those who struggle with sleep as this is a big problem in the UK as almost 1 in 5 people have trouble falling asleep every single night.

The experience is designed to make the first area extremely over stimulating and busy (how insomnia may feel), to then go into the second area which is all about informing the visitors on any factors that may be preventing them from getting a good night sleep, and possible changes or improvements they could make in order get a better night, and then into the last area which is a completely relaxing, unstimulating space.
