My project tackles physical and social issues experienced by users with Spinal Cord Injuries. The Superhuman Shoe and Orthosis provides support for people with drop foot and celebrates the support it offers, rather than disguising its specialist features.
Throughout university, I have taken an activist approach, seeking projects that can make a difference in people’s lives. I’m also interested in the social and environmental impacts of products.
I will now take a gap year to gain experience, including a placement at the Cerebra Innovation Centre in Swansea. In the second part of the year, I hope to travel to Southeast Asia and participate in a volunteer program.
