Theme

Hello, my name is Bea, and throughout this project, I have brainstormed, mind-mapped, doodled, and experimented with different ways of masking my identity.

I approached the majority of the project with positivity, sometimes my motivation dropped at times, but I found ways to overcome this. A few of my motivations were a combination of wanting to create artwork personal to me, but also artwork that concealed my identity within it.

Aspirations for my artwork are mainly that people can relate to my theme of wanting to mask my identity and hide away from the world temporarily.

As you can probably tell by now, my project is called Masking Identity. The majority of my inspirations for my work came from insecurities, and how I wanted to find a way to make them disappear. Other inspirations I had were my eye accident, which is emphasised in one of my masks.

I mainly used materials such as Air Dry Clay, Plaster Of Paris, Flowers, and Found Objects in my artworks.
