Union is a book that explores the notion of both the class structure in which my immediate family believe or do not believe they conform to. As well as this, it is a celebration of the most important job in the world, parenthood. It’s a physical representation of my never-ending thank you’s to my parents for sacrificing their needs, putting everything on hold for myself and my two brothers. My book is a handmade creation, a personal collection of photographs both past and present to give an insight into my family’s lives. When creating the book, I also had the hope that when audiences view it, it would remind them of their own families and I hope that it brings them just as much joy as it does me.
