My graduate collection is based on the Mughal reign from 1526 and how they influenced Indian Architecture on a mass scale. I chose to explore this concept as this is an era that fascinates me and has led me to deeper exploration through childhood connections and annual visits to India as a child. From this, I have looked into Indian architecture, furniture carvings and infrastructure from churches, temples and ironmongery designs. I also decided to combine my hybridity into this project. My parents were born in India and I have often been conflicted by the culture within western society. Therefore, I decided to use western influence from designers such as Dries van Noten and Craig Green in my urban formalwear menswear collection.
