Callum Smith is an editorial photographer who uses his photography to document and examine British heritage and the surrounding culture that he grew up in – especially in relation to ideas around masculinity.
Smith’s most recent work ‘What is Lost’ addresses toxic masculinity in British culture, exploring themes of phototherapy while documenting the social issue – capturing men in British culture who haven’t felt like they have been able to show affection towards each other, and providing a safe environment for them to do so – whilst recording the process in an ethnographic manner.
