My concept uses three women from Greek Mythology as a metaphor for a woman’s oppression in today’s society. Each female character has a tale rooted with sexism and misogyny, expressing the cultures dislike of confident, dominant and sexually expressive women. Therefore I have created a feminist collection titled ‘Demonsied Women,’ as a way of showing how these women have been demonised for not confirming to feminine ideals.
