‘Digital Dreams’ explores the relationship between the physical world and the digital. Through physical sculpture, projected film, and photography, ‘Digital Dreams’ breaks down the boundaries of the intangible digital, allowing the audience to physically interact with the concept and ideas.

The projected film (seen as the illuminating colour in the photographs), is a digitalised collection of work which prefaced the final outcome. The artwork has been distorted, and reduced to the it’s Waveform, addressing the value of art in the digital.

The sculpture itself explores the absurdity of human behaviour within the digital. Whilst formed around a human face, the sculpture is unidentifiable and transparent without the projected film. It stands on a metal frame which resembles nondescript facial features, further addressing the idea of digital animosity. Reminisce of a classical bust, ‘Digital Dreams’ satirises the power we place upon digital figures and speaks to the idea of digital immortality.
