The Corinthian Collection was inspired by a previous trip to Rome in 2017 and my ongoing love of ancient and classical architecture. My primary drawings focused on capturing the form and details of Roman buildings and the city, as well as ancient artefacts. The classical antiquity period of Ancient Greece and Rome influenced my silhouettes through experimentation with draping and fabric manipulation techniques. This collection aims to modernise the traditional elements that I was exploring in my contextual research through the exploration of fabric manipulation in the printing process. The colour palette for my collection avoided using neutral tones which are expected when centring on architecture. Instead, I focused on extracting my colour palette from the modern additions to the city of Rome.
