These are a range of pieces that I’ve created in the first year of my Extended Diploma In Art And Design at UCA Farnham, discussing concepts such as imagination during lockdown, and creating a world of our own using the things we see everyday, “Everyday Imagination”. Through the “Distressed Adornment” piece, I aimed to portray the idea of emotional distress and how this can cause physically visible stress. Furthermore, I produced works, “Female Alter Ego” and “Male Alter Ego”, looking at alter egos and drag culture, revealing contrasting identities. Then, “Pixelated Beauty”, a piece surrounding social media, modern beauty standards and how our perception of people changes online. Another piece conveys the present moment in time.
