My piece was created to display the feelings and entities of memory. When I was in the process of making the piece, I thought about significant memories and elements of life in my younger self, and the love that I had for Barbies when I was younger, was a theme that had me hooked and intrigued upon creating.

Within the piece, you will find a collage and medley of various objects, photographs, paintings and creations – even real Barbies- all affiliated with the memories I had created as a young child.

Throughout the whole process of making, I was trying to embody a piece that I would see in a gallery and be drawn to; something where there is pink and vibrancy, and something new to look at every time, with stories and memories attached to every inch of the canvas. 

After envisioning something that was unique and personal during the planning stages, the final product is distinctive and takes place on a large canvas.
