Theme

For this showcase, I wanted to focus on the best parts of my work from this year. Throughout this year I got to experiment and understand who I am as a person and an artist. I began by exploring my interests in spirituality and my love for nature. Although I range from using different mediums I have consistently explored the theme of spirituality in all my works…

I found a great deal of comfort in creating a memorial project based around a time in my life where trauma can be found. Instead of focussing on the trauma itself, I wanted to focus on the person who I have become not the person I used to be.

The idea of creating a fantasy world was so spell-binding to me. I loved the idea of creating stories that showed a real meaning behind them.

As I have explored spirituality, I feel like I have become more understanding of myself and the world around me. To be a successful artist one must understand themselves otherwise the work they make is pointless. This is something that I live by.

In my own time I work on creating my own artworks still exploring themes of spirituality and fantasy. I post this on my Instagram page @_lunamothcreations_

I also post my collage/uni work over on my Instagram page @uca_fayeplaczek
