Hebatallah Serry was Born in Egypt (1998) and raised and lives in England. Serry comes from a multi-cultural background of both Moroccan and Egyptian origin. Photography has been an ever-growing interest and passion for Serry and she specialises in contextual subjects that explore diverse themes from social justice to the significance of subcultures. Being influenced through her diverse background these attributes help to inform and evolve her practice. Whilst embodying these projects, variations of digital and analogue photography have become key in taking initiative for the appropriate method to achieve a variety of photographic work.
In her graduate work Serry has photographed Moroccan salons inside private homes in London, exploring how Moroccan individuals have sustained their heritage and culture within a different environment.
