Extended Diploma in Art & Design - Year 2 - Canterbury

Theme

In my showcase, I have included works from two different projects from the second year of the Extended Diploma programme, as well as a piece from an experimental carousel week.

In one project, I developed a pro-vaccination campaign, communicating the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine and highlighting the heroic work of key workers.

My final major project, Seedlings, focused on the imagination, curiosity and adventurousness of the young children I look after. I wanted to capture their discovery and play.

During my time at UCA, I found that the technique I am most passionate about is printmaking. I am also keen to develop my interest in animation and moving image.

PEBBLES - Capturing the moment a baby discovers pebbles on a beach. First impressions created a sensory overload. It was a joy witnessing their intense interest and excitement about pebbles.
