Thanks to the broad opportunities of my course, my work varies with style and media, as I am just starting to find my niche. One element that does stay consistent though is making sure that my work is made as sustainably as possible and even in some cases that it promotes and educates people on the importance of creating artwork responsibly. As I was aspiring to study architecture next year, I focused mainly on 3D work, exploring how our environment affects us and in my final project, looking at how the construction industry affects the planet. I enjoy working with a variety of natural materials such as wood and clay and using colour in my work.

Final outcome from my FMP - ' Olimpia Educational Pavillion'. My design was influenced by West African architecture and how going back to traditional methods could help with modern sustainable design. The model is made from clay, wooden dowels and MDF and in reality would be built from rammed earth and coppiced wood. In today's pandemic situation, the space is safe for people to meet both inside and outside. It is also educational with its sustainability-related patterns on the roof and with the wooden dowels representing graphs that show how the construction industry affects the environment.

Body In Space Project: looking at how our space affects our bodies and minds. A cut-up poem and collage made with words that I wrote down while sitting at the sea at home in Gibraltar.

Body In Space Project - an abacus-style window installation made with empty loo rolls and string. A poem on either side - one reflecting how people felt in the national lockdown and the second a more positive one of what it made people realise that they are grateful for.

Skin & Bones project: looking at organic forms. This is a model inspired by a miscroscopic cell image of a spore formation, made with coloured paper and MDF board.

Nomad Project - exploring themes of nomadic life, portability and shelter. I created a foldable and portable tent intended for homeless use, made out of re-purposed tent material and MDF board.
