Colourise centres around Kit, a human child who moves schools. They find themself struggling to adapt without their best friend as well as fitting in with their new surroundings, but attempt to cope with it by reminding themselves of their old friendships in the form of a photograph. After a series of mishaps leaves the picture damaged and Kit feeling worse about their new school more than they’d initially anticipated, one of their new classmates, Evie, steps in and offers her friendship. Upon doing so, Kit’s damaged perception is changed, and they realise that things aren’t so strange (or scary) after all.
