Cyber is a shapeshifting culture magazine that articulates the blended digital world that we live in, discussing and challenging societal norms and exploring the worlds projection into an online reality.
Cyber is redefining what a magazine is. Blending the boundaries of print and digital publishing, Cyber is not just a print magazine. Instead, it is a universe of culture that can be accessed in myriad ways. Cyber is a neutral and consumer focused platform. By scanning codes embedded in the features, with the users’ mobiles, Cyber becomes a video channel, an audible magazine, a podcast platform as well as a tangible, physical medium.
As somebody in the Gen Z audience myself I am aware that they are often disregarded or patronised in publishing. Cyber takes them seriously, involving them in necessary discussions and empowering them to speak up, to chase their dreams and supporting them in the process.
This reflects a trend in wider consumption that, for example, sees streaming services increasing investing in audio as opposed to just music, recognising that the ‘heard’ word is as important and desirable as the ‘read’ word. This trend, allied with interlinking and fluid engagement through visual social media, weaves Cyber into a world that is no longer defined by old concepts of magazine production and consumption.
