‘TWITCH’ is a short experimental film aiming to explore the physical sensations of anxiety, mimicking them through animated and distorted black and white portraits. After feeling unsatisfied and slightly disconnected with my previous films, I wanted to make my final film more personal. Anxiety and other mental health issues have been a popular subject in animation as it is an art form that allows us to express abstract concepts, however I didn’t want this film to fall into the same category. Using black and white portraits, I wanted to distort images of the friends and family I interviewed for the film, making it as eerie as possible.
