Theme

My work was inspired by the concept of sustainability, especially within supermarkets where plastic packaging is wasted. I wanted to create an alternative to that, which allowed me to explore different materials and ideas. My idea focused on fruit and veg because a lot of single-use plastic packaging is wasted on those products in supermarkets. Therefore, I created the idea of the company ‘Go Green’, which is a greengrocer-style shop, with loose fruit & veg for you to choose yourself.  I referred to the concept of sustainability throughout the design process, designing branding that communicated this through the simple colour pallette and bold branding. The packaging I designed was cardboad and reusable, in order to make it as sustainable as possible. Overall, my design presents an alternative to plastic packaging, and uses sustainability as a theme throughout the branding.
