The final outcome of my project is a wordless illustrated photo story called ‘Still Life’. It aims to convey the comfort and claustrophobia of life lived in one room during the pandemic. The set for this photographic story is an entirely self-made miniature diorama of my bedroom. The very process of making a miniature of the space in which I have lived has mirrored the surreal nature of the way that life has shrunk and turned inwards in the past year. Recreating every detail of my room has made me reflect on all of the experiences and feelings it encompasses. The diorama has become a representation of my teenage self.
