Theme

For the start of the project I researched fashion through the decades. I mainly got inspiration from the David Bowie ‘glam rock 70s’ photoshoot. This really explored the culture within the changing times of fashion and expression. This inspired me to produce the top made from recycled socks which illustrates the great need for sustainability within the industry, which become more relevant in my research. I wanted to also present the detachment of busy society within lockdown as I became closer to nature. I embroidered these images into the top. I hope to take sustainable fashion next year.
