Nadya Evans

My name is Nadya Evans and during my foundation year I went down the fashion pathway, specifically focusing on fashion design.

I have always wanted to pursue a career in fashion, so having taken textiles A Level and done this foundation course, I will be moving onto a degree in Fashion Design at the University of Westminster this autumn.

For my FMP I merged traditional Folk dress with functional Workwear. I like to combine unlikely pairings to see what can be created from this, so for this project I have chosen to combine these two very contrasting elements to inspire some new innovative design ideas. At Folk festivals there are an abundance of various types of workers putting the event together, so in this project I wanted to dramatically combine these two very different worlds as if there had been an emergency.
