Rachel Newton

Extended Diploma in Art & Design - Year 1 - Rochester

Theme

Throughout our first year, we experimented with lots of different methods of creating such as sketching with charcoal, pencils, and pens, making 3D structures out of many materials and more.

I especially liked collaging and wire bending since I liked the outcomes of them more. I also enjoyed printing and merging mono-printing and lino cutting to create interesting prints. I’ve chosen my favourite pieces from the topics I liked most to put into the showcase: a collage, a wire structure, multiple prints, and a drawing.
