I produce design work across a wide range of media in graphic illustration, print, digital art and animation. I am interested in developing my digital skills in social media content production. My folio productions Dark Horror & PlayaOne, consist of two projects with multiple outputs composed as original designs, screenprints, digital photography and animation. I make skateboard and urban design graphics and logos. The visual styling draws on political activist art and urban fashion trends.
My work is inspired by Warren Lotus and the bold, high key graphic work of Keith Haring and the Black Lives Matter movement. I am skilled in using Adobe Suite, Premiere and After Effects and work flows from screen to print. “The Dark Horror” thematic includes digitised sketchbooks that explore exaggerated ethnic minority characters in symbolic situations that imply societal conflict and fear of the other, such as stop and search. My skateboard designs, characters and urban brand designs are inspired by ancient mythical themes. The “PlayaOne” consists of designs for bespoke clothing – digitised from hand drawn sketches and designed using – Illustrator folio/photoshop and 3D design with Adobe Dimensions. My promotional videos explore the dark psychological themes of competition in video gaming and “PlayaOne” is a brand Instagram site focused on t-shirt designs and look book brochures. I am seeking an internship with fashion brands and designers who have connections to music and young ethnic minority audiences.
