Theme

For my IMP I decided on the title “Fantasy/Reality”, and originally planned to explore the reality of identity and relationships through fantastical settings and narratives. I have also decided that the specific setting I will be using is a circus; I chose this because it allows for bright and colourful design, as well as having interesting costumes and movements to draw and animate. I also chose a circus because it has a sense of childish, magical whimsy while also being something that I can make creepy and uncanny fairly easily.

After working on character/concept designs and practicing different animation techniques, I unfortunately did not have time or the resources to fully execute my original vision, and instead created a partial animatic that could represent what I wanted to final piece to look like.
