My garments are 98% recycled, being made out of a second hand tent, taking heavy inspiration from London grime culture and the idea of natural damage which is manipulating fabric through the use of a natural element such as fire. My garments represent the ideology and unique grittiness of grime culture through the process of using fire as a design technique. Through that the garments are burnt, browned, gritty, rough but at the same time represent the beauty and immense creativity of grime through that the embroidery mixed with the gritty and rough designs are still very beautiful and interesting when you understand the context and ideology just like grime music and its culture.
