I am a graphic designer and I like to combine analogue and digital techniques within my designs. This allows me to express my ideas better.
Navigation.
In this video, I wanted to narrate the drift that I took in a fun way, like a ‘Google map journey’. I’ve also added information about some places in London to show the layer of time (changes) within this video. To achieve the ‘Google Map’ style, I’ve added the Google navigations voice as a sound effect within the animation to make the whole video more like a ‘Google map journey’. I’ve also added background noise that I’ve recorded during my drift in London, so it feels like you are actually going through London when looking at the video.
This video is present just like a ‘google map journey’. This ‘Google Map’ idea came from my drift, (going somewhere without a purpose, just wondering around London and getting lost in the end) it feels just like using google map, it is never that accurate.
Drift = drop our motives for movement and let ourselves be drawn by the attraction of the terrain and let the encounters we find there.
