Coral reefs do more for the earth then just provide us with beautiful views underwater, they help generate the air we breath, create homes and food for different species, they create jobs and food for people as well as become an underwater rainforest, and help absorb the carbon around us to slow down global warming. Sadly, due to climate change, overfishing, pollution and other physical destructions humans have coursed, coral reefs are dying all over the world.

Xena decided to create this project to educate people about what the reef used to look like and how we are killing it. She decided to create her own coral reef set and play around with body movement and dance to portray the story. Xena decided to use a mixture of portraiture and still life.
