The HUB is managed by a team of six experienced scientists and researchers to ensure that the processes and outcomes meet the mission of this project – to be able to recycle wastes in an efficient and sustainable manner.
The HUB is essentially a center were collected unwanted waste then processed to be valuable materials. The HUB provides programs with full cycle for oyster farming that includes collection of discarded oyster shells from seaside, interactive algae farms for feeding baby oysters, and a segment for processing discarded oyster shells into construction materials. The design process begins with the awareness of how wastes impact the environment. From this simple feeling of wanting to carve a better future, proposes an idea to start from utilizing unwanted oyster shells.
