I chose product and furniture design as my undergraduate major, so my design is related to this.

This project is about furniture. In addition, I set the theme for it to be practical, which also means that it won’t be a work just to look good.  My research focus was also on some products that help others or bring convenience.

People often sit at a coffee table with friends or guests to drink tea or coffee, watch TV or chat. During this process, the drink will get cold, and many people think that hot tea or hot coffee will taste better. This coffee table is designed for them. It has a heating pad on the table. Put a teapot or cup on it and it will stay warm. In addition, the table is also detachable and can be applied to a larger number of people for convenience.

I decided to use the yoghurt board as the material for this application. Because it is lighter and brings a marble-like texture that makes the eye shine. At the same time, it is also a kind of environmental protection material.
